About the role

Computing Officer (Academic Computing) - AD2903

The University is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join the Academic Computing team within IT Services, in the role of Computing Officer. Based in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, this role is key to supporting the School’s world ‑ leading research and teaching by delivering robust, innovative and secure computing infrastructure.

The role focuses on providing technical expertise and operational support across a diverse range of computational environments used by academic colleagues. Working closely with colleagues across the School , you will provide bespoke support to meet the evolving needs of world ‑ leading research and teaching. You will collaborate with colleagues in IT Services in the development and maintenance of systems, ensuring compliance with established University policy.

The role is a permanent position and will offer you the chance to contribute to the University’s strategic goals by shaping the digital tools and environments that underpin world ‑ leading research and teaching. You will be part of a knowledgeable, supportive and forward ‑ thinking team committed to continuous improvement and technical excellence.
