We're working with a respected and growing organisation seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Birmingham. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of multiple construction projects from procurement through to final account. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing project budgets and cost plans Procuring and managing subcontractor packages Producing monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) Managing variations, valuations and final accounts Assessing subcontractor applications and payments Identifying and managing commercial risks Providing contractual advice under JCT and NEC contracts Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams Supporting and mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery About You We're looking for someone who can demonstrate: Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline Proven Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sector Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, with NEC experience also desirable Experience managing subcontract procurement and commercial reporting Ability to complete take-offs and value variations independently Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Confident communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships A proactive approach and the ability to work using your own initiative Willingness to travel to project sites as required What's on Offer Salary of £35,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience) Excellent benefits package Hybrid and flexible working Ongoing professional development Clear opportunities for career progression Varied and interesting projects across multiple sectors Supportive, collaborative working environment If you're looking for a long-term opportunity where your commercial expertise will be recognised and rewarded, we'd love to hear from you.
