Key Account Manager - Business Development -Electricals c£up to 60k + Bonus + Car + Benefits South East ABJ6775 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager / Business development manager to take ownership of South East location developing relationships with electrical wholesalers, contractors, distributors, specifiers and other key industry stakeholders. As key account manager and business developer this offers the opportunity to develop an existing territory, increase market penetration and influence growth across some of the UK's key electrical markets. As a key account manager in electricals, you will be developing strong, long-term relationships and influencing the market to create commercial opportunities. As key account manager you would work closely with electrical contractors, wholesalers, distributors, consultants and specifiers, ensuring products are understood, considered and specified for relevant projects. Home Based - in South East Key Responsibilities • Account Management & Business Development * Manage and develop a portfolio of key electrical wholesale and trade customers * Build strong, long-term relationships with contractors, distributors and industry stakeholders * Identify new opportunities and increase penetration within existing accounts * Develop territory plans to deliver sustainable commercial growth * Negotiate, influence and build relationships at all levels • Specification & Market Development * Develop relationships with electrical contractors, consultants and specifiers * Influence product selection and specification at an early stage of projects * Identify upcoming projects and new market opportunities * Increase product awareness, advocacy and specification * Work with customers to ensure specified products progress through to distribution and end use * Help turn specification opportunities into genuine commercial opportunities • Wholesale & Channel Development * Work closely with electrical wholesalers and branch teams to increase product availability and range penetration * Develop relationships across distributor networks * Identify gaps and opportunities within customer product ranges * Work alongside wider Business Development teams to maximise opportunities * Strengthen market presence across the territory • Territory Management Take ownership of territory forecasting, pipeline management and performance Monitor customer activity and commercial opportunities Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline information Qualifications and Experience * Proven experience within Account Management, Business Development or Sales * Ideally from the electrical, construction, building services, M&E or wholesale sectors * Strong understanding of the electrical contractor and/or wholesale market * Experience working with contractors, distributors, wholesalers, consultants or specifiers * Excellent relationship-building, influencing and negotiation skills * Experience within areas such as electrical installation products, switchgear, circuit protection, electrical components, building services, M&E, electrical contracting or electrical wholesale would be highly relevant.
