Mechanical Maintenance Engineer We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a site-based team at Porton Down.

Role Details Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Onsite
- Porton Down Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday Hours: 08:00
- 16:30 (8 hours per day) Contract Length: Initially until the end of June, with a strong expectation of extension through to 31 December 2026 Rate: £30-£38 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35) Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive building services maintenance across the site, with a strong focus on: Plumbing maintenance and repairs Toilet and tap repairs Reactive maintenance including unblocking toilets General mechanical building services support Additional experience in the following areas would be highly desirable: AHU (Air Handling Unit) maintenance Pipework repairs Steam systems maintenance Requirements Minimum 3 years' mechanical maintenance experience Strong background in building services maintenance Comfortable carrying out reactive plumbing works Reliable and xwzovoh able to work consistently onsite Clear DBS preferred due to site clearance requirements Candidates able to commit long-term are highly desirable, as onsite training will be provided and continuity is beneficial If you are an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a long-term onsite opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
