Haematology Locum Consultant Specialising in Lymphoma

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity for a Consultant Haematologist with interest in lymphoma and general haematology to join Withybush General Hospital’s Haematology team. The role will introduce a lymphoma subspecialty and support the team of consultants across four hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the lymphoma subspecialty across the Health Board, working alongside generalist consultants.
• Attend and provide on‑call rota for the Haverfordwest site; provide consultative input at peripheral sites.
• Participate in 3–4 outpatient clinics per week in lymphoma and general haematology, with the possibility of additional subspecialty workload based on experience.
• Engage in weekly health board‑wide MDT meetings and other multidisciplinary teams across Wales.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and on‑call rota across general haematology and haemo‑oncology.
• Participate in clinics at other hospital sites, including virtual clinics where appropriate.
• Help develop rural service to ensure excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practice.
• Experience in the management of lymphoma and general haematology.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and deliver high‑quality patient care.
