About the Role

Randstad Education has an immediate opening for a Behaviour & Emotional Support Assistant to join secondary and alternative education provisions in Chelmsford. This role is focused on providing relational and trauma-informed support to students whose emotional and behavioural barriers hinder their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 emotional check-ins, well being interventions, and structured pastoral guidance.

• Support students diagnosed with ASC, ADHD, and SEMH in managing sensory and emotional overload.

• Encourage positive peer-to-peer relationships, conflict resolution, and self-advocacy.

• Provide support with personal hygiene, medication, or mobility routines in line with school policies and care plans.

• Maintain clear, factual records of incidents and pupil well being to report back to the DSL and SENCo.
