Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you'll carry out inspections, planned preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.From rebuilding ride vehicles and mechanical brake assemblies to maintaining pneumatic systems and supporting annual maintenance programmes, you'll be involved in a diverse range of engineering activities throughout the year. During the operational season, you'll focus on keeping attractions running safely and efficiently, while the closed season provides opportunities to support major overhauls, refurbishment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.Whether your experience comes from manufacturing, automotive, rail, aerospace, marine, facilities or another engineering environment, this role offers the chance to develop specialist skills on unique equipment while contributing to memorable experiences for millions of guestsResponsibilitiesResponsibilities in this position will change dependent on CWOA’s operational season and please be aware that some of these responsibilities would be undertaken at height.Utilising PPM task plans to carry out daily safety critical inspections upon rides, vehicles and other attractions. Reactive maintenance and repairs, tracked through work order creation and completion. Undertaking of preplanned maintenance, including but not limited to: Strip down and rebuild of attraction vehicles, i.e. trains, cars, boatsStrip down and rebuild of mechanical brake assembliesStrip down and resealing of pneumatic cylindersInspection of mechanical and electrical componentsAdherence to safety practices and quality standards, such as HSG175Diagnostics and preventative/predictive maintenanceMaintain accurate maintenance records, reports and logs in support of ongoing compliance metricsMaintain good workshop standards utilising 5S / LEAN methodologiesAssist with auditing and ordering critical spare components for rides and attractionsShift Patterns3 on, 2 off3 on, 2 off4 on, 1 off4 on, 2 offQualifications & ExperienceAn ONC, NVQ level 3 or BTEC equivalent gained through an Apprenticeship or college route in engineeringPost apprenticeship/qualification experience Inspection experience would be advantageous Full understanding of engineering-related statutory requirements such as COSHH Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems of workThe ability to read and use engineering drawingsThe ability to display problem solving and diagnostic skillsPrevious work in a theme park environment is not essential, engineering experience gathered in other industries will be equally suitableHave experience of using technical manuals, risk assessments and related documentationBenefitsPay RangeGBP 47,043.00/Yr.Job SummaryID: 2026-13386Employment Type: Full-TimeOffer/Contract Type: No End DateLocation Name: Chessington World of Adventures Resort
