Primary Teacher – SEN School, Chichester (KS3 Pupils Working at Primary Level)
Location: Chichester, West Sussex Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (Full-time, 40 hours per week)
Pay: £165 – £255 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 26 Contract: Long-term (until July 2027)
About the School
Supply Desk is delighted to be working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist SEN school in Chichester. The school is expanding its provision to support Key Stage 3 students who are learning at a Key Stage 1 or 2 level, offering a nurturing and inclusive environment tailored to their needs.
The school is known for its supportive ethos, collaborative staff team, and commitment to helping every child achieve their potential. Teachers work closely with therapists, support assistants, and families to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Primary Teacher to join this SEN school on a long-term basis September 26 until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a specialist provision and make a meaningful impact on students who benefit from a primary-style curriculum within a secondary-age setting.
You will be responsible for delivering creative, differentiated lessons, celebrating progress, and fostering both academic and personal development.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons for KS3 pupils working at primary level
Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports social and emotional growth
Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
Track and record pupil progress, contributing to EHCPs and personalised learning plans
Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies
What We’re Looking For
A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
Experience teaching within KS2 (SEN experience desirable)
A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Patience, creativity, and empathy
Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs
