Contracts Manager – General Construction 📍 Newcastle upon Tyne 💰 £70,000 – £80,000 + Benefits Package We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established construction contractor based in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and driven individual with a strong background in delivering both new build and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Role * Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. * Oversee both refurbishment and new build schemes. * Lead and support Site Managers and project teams. * Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. * Monitor programmes, budgets, quality, and contractual obligations. * Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. * Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates. * Manage procurement, resource allocation, and subcontractor performance. * Identify project risks and implement effective solutions. * Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Requirements * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the general construction sector. * Strong background delivering new build and refurbishment projects. * Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously. * Excellent commercial awareness and contractual knowledge. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and project stakeholders. * Good understanding of construction programmes and project delivery. * SMSTS, CSCS, and a full UK driving licence.
