Fire & Security Installation Engineer Location: Plymouth & Surrounding Areas Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum + Overtime Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire and security company. Due to continued growth and an increasing project workload across the South West, our client is looking to add a skilled engineer to their installation team. Package & Benefits * Basic Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) * Overtime available to increase annual earnings * Company vehicle and fuel card * Travel time paid * Pension scheme * Annual leave entitlement * Ongoing manufacturer and industry training * Career progression opportunities * Full-time, permanent position Role & Responsibilities As a Fire & Security Installation Engineer, your duties will include: * Installation of Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems * Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and residential sites * Installing and commissioning a range of industry-leading systems * Ensuring all installations are completed to current industry standards and regulations * Conducting testing and commissioning of newly installed systems * Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service * Completing all relevant documentation accurately and on time * Working independently and as part of a wider engineering team Skills & Experience Required * Full UK Driving Licence (essential) * Experience installing Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems * Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations * Strong fault-finding and commissioning skills * Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively * Professional attitude with excellent customer-facing skills * Experience within commercial environments highly desirable Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential) * FIA Units * ECS / CSCS Card * IPAF * City & Guilds Electrical Qualification * Manufacturer training certificates * Relevant fire and security industry qualifications How to Apply If you are a Fire & Security Installation Engineer looking for your next opportunity with a reputable and growing company, please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
