Technical Manager Location: South Shields area Salary: £50 000 - £55 000 Supersede Recruitment is proud to represent our client, a leading UK-based Food manufacturer in their search for a passionate and experienced Technical Manager. The business is going through a rapid period of growth, with some very exciting projects just starting! About the Role As Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and innovation within the food industry. This position offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated team in an ever-evolving and sustainable business environment. The role will be very much factory focused. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, certifications, and retailer requirements. Oversee product quality - driving continuous improvement initiatives. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their technical and quality expectations are exceeded. Lead internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with food safety, environmental, traceability, and health & safety standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and address technical challenges. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices, bringing innovative ideas to the business. What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a technical or quality management role within the food industry Proven management skills - this role will lead a team of 7 QAs and a QA Administrator Strong knowledge of compliance standards and retailer requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
