Job Description Democratic Services Team Leader /n Yorkshire /n Locum Contract /n Hybrid (attendance for meetings) /n £400-480 a day /n Sellick Partnership are delighted to be supporting a local authority in Yorkshire with the recruitment of a Democratic Services Team Leader to join their team on a locum basis. The role can be worked remotely, other than for cabinet and committee meetings. All of their meetings are held during the day. /n The Democratic Services Team Leader role will be until the end of June 2027 and the main responsibilities will be: /n - Management of 5 members of staff /n - Organising and attending a range of meetings and committees, including Cabinet meetings /n - Oversee committee cycles, scrutiny support, agenda planning, report assurance, and publication of papers for Council and Cabinet meetings /n - Maintain high standards of legal compliance, transparency, good governance, and adherence to data protection /n - Act as a principal point of advice and guidance for elected Members, senior officers, and partners on constitutional and governance matters. /n Our client is seeking to fill this locum Democratic Services Manager role as soon as possible, so applicants will ideally be able to start immediately or within a few weeks' notice.
