The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor at 1–3+ PQE to join an established and ambitious Employment, Pensions & Immigration team in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their career within a highly ranked practice, working with some of the UK's largest and best-known employers across a varied mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.


The role will include:

  • Advising employers on the full range of employment law issues, including disciplinary, grievance and discrimination matters.
  • Handling and defending Employment Tribunal claims, including high-profile and complex disputes.
  • Working alongside leading KCs on significant and cutting-edge Employment Tribunal litigation.
  • Advising on change and restructuring projects.
  • Dealing with high-profile claims involving foreign embassies.
  • Working collaboratively with Partners and senior lawyers on large-scale employment projects.
  • Managing your own caseload and workload with appropriate supervision and support.
  • Contributing to client training, legal updates, articles, networking and business development initiatives.


Requirements


  • 1–3+ years' PQE with relevant Employment law experience.
  • Previous experience advising employers on a broad range of employment matters.
  • Experience handling Employment Tribunal claims.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
  • Collaborative, flexible and team-focused approach.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for developing a career within Employment law.
