Trainee Compliance Tester

Location: St. Albans, AL1 Patch: Field Based (London & Home Counties) Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 Working Hours: Monday-Friday Job Code: MJ2340 Trainee Compliance Tester We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading life safety and security specialists. With over 25 years in the industry, our client designs, installs, maintains, and monitors essential fire and security systems across the country. This is an entry-level position joining an established field operations team. Travelling across London and the Home Counties, you will carry out essential routine checks and compliance testing on client fire safety systems. No prior experience is necessary — full training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: * Carry out weekly testing on fire alarms and emergency call points. * Perform monthly checks on emergency lighting systems. * Provide professional and polite communication to on-site contacts and clients. * Log job details accurately using a handheld digital device (PDA). * Maintain equipment, tools, and company stock in an organised manner. * Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure safe working practices on all sites. The successful candidate will have: * Full UK Driving licence * A practical, organised, and reliable approach to work. * Good communication skills and a professional attitude toward customer service. * Strong timekeeping skills and high standards of personal presentation. * A good general understanding of postcodes across London and the Home Counties. * A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn new technical skills.
