About the role

At Bright Futures, we champion the potential of every person with autism and a learning disability, believing wholeheartedly in their ability to thrive and lead the most fulfilling lives. We're looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to provide specialist psychological leadership across our care and education services for children and adults with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and embed a trauma-informed, psychologically informed culture across the organisation – helping teams understand the impact of trauma, build positive relationships, reduce restrictive practices and create environments where people can thrive.

You'll combine specialist clinical practice with organisational leadership, providing assessment and intervention alongside consultation, training, coaching, reflective practice and service development. You'll work closely with individuals, families, support teams, education colleagues, managers and our wider multidisciplinary teams to turn psychological principles into meaningful, everyday practice.

What you'll bring

You'll be a confident and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with people with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs. You'll bring strong expertise in trauma-informed practice, psychological formulation and evidence-based intervention, alongside the ability to influence, coach and inspire teams.

You'll be passionate about improving quality of life, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing, and supporting people to achieve their goals.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the development of trauma-informed practice across care and education.

  • Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention.

  • Develop the confidence and capability of our teams through training, coaching and reflective practice.

  • Work alongside our Specialist Support Team and wider multidisciplinary professionals.

  • Influence service development, quality improvement and clinical governance.

Interview date: Tuesday 17th November
