We are currently recruiting for an experienced Emergency Housing Officer to join a busy Local Authority Housing Service on a temporary basis.

This role plays a vital part in delivering emergency accommodation services for vulnerable households and ensuring suitable placements are arranged, maintained and monitored in line with homelessness legislation and council procedures.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing emergency housing placements, maintaining accommodation records, setting up and closing rent accounts, and working closely with accommodation providers, landlords and internal housing teams to deliver an effective service.

The successful candidate will ensure households in housing need receive timely support while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation.
