Associate Pensions Actuarial Consultant London (hybrid working, minimum 2 days per week in the office)An opportunity to join a large, well-established pensions actuarial team working across a broad range of DB schemes. The role offers strong exposure to both core actuarial work and wider project-based assignments, with plenty of client interaction.The roleSupport delivery of actuarial valuations (funding, solvency, Section 179, buy-in feasibility)Prepare and present analysis for client meetingsDelegate work to analysts and review outputs before sign-offCarry out and check member calculations including transfer valuesProduce member option factors (e.g. early/late retirement, commutation)Support pensions accounting work (IAS19 / US GAAP)Contribute to projects such as GMP equalisation, data and benefit rectificationWork closely with administration teams and wider stakeholdersWhat they’re looking forPart-qualified actuary (FIA track)UK pensions consulting experienceSolid technical grounding with good attention to detailClear communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage and prioritise a varied workloadComfortable delegating to and supporting junior team membersA good step for someone looking to build out their consulting exposure, with a nice mix of technical work and client-facing responsibility early on.
