About the role
Dolmen Insurance, a long-established insurance broker are looking to recruit a Commercial Lines Account Director in our Newry office.
We are seeking highly motivated, talented and experienced Commercial Account Director to join our Broker team and drive the expansion of our business. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively seek out and acquire new commercial lines clients, understanding their specific insurance needs and offering tailored solutions to protect their business. By building strong relationships, your aim will be to facilitate business growth, delight our clients and enhance our reputation in the market.
Title Commercial Account Director
Location Hybrid / Newry
As Commercial Lines Account Director, you will play a crucial role in developing and promoting our insurance products and services with the support of our local team in Newry. This will involve engaging with potential and existing clients, showcasing the benefits of our offerings, and effectively closing sales. Additionally, you will actively contribute to our marketing efforts and stay updated on industry trends to provide informed recommendations to clients.
What you will be responsible for
- Create and own a clear and robust sales plan to generate pipeline sales opportunities
- Develop new clients, relationships from initial contact through to completion
- Owning and managing clients through new business, ongoing engagement and renewals
- Provide advice to clients
- Engage with our insurance partners to secure suitable insurance covers for clients
- Deliver high quality service to our clients
- Provide monthly reporting
- Maintain high levels of client confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with internal operating procedures and FCA regulations
Knowledge and experience required
- 5 years+ experience in a similar new business or account management role
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products
- Performance and Target driven mindset to achieve key results
- IT proficient (Word/Excel and Power point)
Skills required
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confident engaging with clients and insurers
- Ability to be part of a growing team, collaborating daily
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build and manage effective relationship skills
Desirable Criteria
- CII qualification (or progress towards)
