Day Shift Mobile Train Cleaning Team Leader – Driving licence Required Location: Manchester and surrounding areas – Newton Heath, Allerton, Heaton, Hull and Neville Hill depots Start Date: 12th October (Initial 6-month contract with potential for permanent placement) £14.87 per hour + overtime opportunities Lead a mobile team and help keep trains across the North clean, safe and passenger-ready! The Role and About You As a Mobile Train Cleaning Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for organising your team, allocating daily tasks and making sure work is completed safely and to a high standard. You’ll lead from the front, supporting your team with hands-on cleaning while also taking responsibility for quality, performance and communication across different depot locations. Your day-to-day work will include external train cleaning, graffiti removal, quality checks, managing cleaning materials and stock, and liaising with depot teams and clients. You’ll have the opportunity to use your existing cleaning and leadership experience while developing valuable supervisory experience within the rail industry. We’re looking for someone who has previous Team Leader or supervisory experience, ideally within industrial, transport or commercial cleaning. Experience of deep cleaning and full cleans would be an advantage, but most importantly, you’ll need to be organised, reliable and confident leading and motivating others. A full UK driving licence with at least two years’ driving experience is essential, as you’ll travel between different depots in a company vehicle. You’ll need to be comfortable working across different locations and adapting to the needs of the team and the operation. The role runs Monday to Thursday, with shifts between 07:00am and 17:00pm, and overtime available on Fridays. You’ll receive £14.87 per hour, with additional overtime opportunities, a company vehicle, full PPE and leadership training. You’ll initially join on a 6-month contract, with the potential to move into a permanent position and build your career within the rail industry. Take a glimpse into the train presentation world:  .
