About the role

A well-established and growing pensions consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator to join its expanding administration team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced pensions professional with Defined Benefit (DB) scheme experience who enjoys technical work, mentoring colleagues, and delivering high-quality service to clients and scheme members.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pension administration services, supporting complex calculations, reviewing work, and ensuring client service standards are met.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver all aspect of pensions administration tasks to a portfolio of Defined Benefit schemes.
  • Perform and check manual pension benefit calculations.
  • Handle complex member and client queries, providing clear and accurate responses.
  • Support the management of monthly and annual scheme processes to ensure regulatory and client requirements are met.
  • Attend client meetings when required.
  • Assist with mentoring and developing junior team members.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong experience in Defined Benefit pension administration, including performing and reviewing manual pension calculations.
  • Good understanding of current pensions legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues within a team environment.
