About the Role

Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of reactive and routine highway maintenance works, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all operations.

You will oversee a team of Supervisors and Operatives, driving performance, supporting development, and ensuring works are completed in line with contractual and client expectations

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage supervisors and operational teams across the contract
• Oversee the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance works
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Monitor performance, productivity, and quality of works delivered
• Support the Area Manager in achieving contract KPIs and objectives
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and clients
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies

About You

• Proven experience within highways maintenance or a similar operational environment
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-level teams
• Good understanding of reactive and routine maintenance delivery
• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
