The Role
As Cash & Carry Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy wholesale site, ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience while maintaining high standards across sales, stock management, merchandising, and operations.
This is a highly varied role where you'll spend time engaging with customers, monitoring sales performance, managing stock levels, supporting your team, and ensuring the site operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service, manage trade customer relationships, and drive sales growth.
Oversee stock control, ordering, merchandising, and product availability.
Manage the day-to-day operation and profitability of the cash & carry site, including sales reporting and cash handling.
Lead, motivate, and support the team, ensuring high standards of performance and customer focus.
Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant working environment while collaborating with internal departments to achieve business objectives.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll likely have:
Experience in retail, wholesale, horticultural, or customer-facing operations
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Confidence working with sales figures, stock data, and commercial reports
Good IT skills, including experience with stock or point-of-sale systems
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
A hands-on management style and willingness to support the wider team
