This role can be based out of London, Birmingham or Manchester.The Transaction Manager role is to actively support a team of Relationship Directors (RD) in all transaction and execution dealings; to ensure consistent, high quality due diligence is undertaken, and that all transactions are executed in accordance with HSBC UK’s quality standards.On a day-to-day basis, this role has diverse and varied duties. You will work closely with RD’s in the transaction execution process, reviewing terms sheets, preparing professional instructions, reviewing due diligence reports and legal documentation and monitoring and liaising with professionals throughout the transaction process.As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.In this role you’ll:Project manage real estate finance transactions from approval to completion of the documentation and drawdownInstruct, monitor and liaise with professionals in respect of the preparation of due diligence reports and legal documentationReview, analyse and report to Regional Directors on property valuations and project monitor reportsReview heads of terms for prospective customers and work closely with relationship directors, professionals and our customers to ensure legal documentation reflects credit approved terms and HSBC UK policiesReview and liaise with professionals and our customers to ensure legal documentation reflects credit approved terms and HSBC UK policiesManage lifecycle work and instruct professionals in relation to the existing REF portfolio.Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adhere to regulatory, financial, and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risksCollaborate with Group and Legal colleagues to deliver solutions for customersSupport customers and place their needs at the forefront of all that we do, setting world class standards and ensuring fair customer treatment and delivery of customer satisfactionTo be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:Experience of managing complex relationshipsExcellent planning, organisation and time management abilities with the ability to manage competing priorities of multiple dealsStrong communication skills both written and verbalStrong analytical skillsStrong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust, overcoming resistance where encounteredExperience of efficient and effective completion of customer lending transactions ensuring the high-quality underwriting and due diligence standards are maintained whilst adopting a commercial approach with customers and professional advisorsExperience in the Real Estate segment with understanding of process, transaction execution and operational functionsKnowledge of bank lending documentation and the risks of real estate lendingUnderstanding of Real Estate policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure Bank’s property lending and reputational risk is effectively managed and controlledExperience of working in a transaction management or an origination role would be advantageousKnowledge of Loan Market Association facility agreement documentation would be advantageousOpening up a world of opportunity.Being open to different points of view is important for our business and the communities we serve.
