HGV Class 2 Driver – Community Works Wick or Thurso £14.68 per hour Temporary Role | Immediate Start Working Hours Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm Wednesday: 7:30am – 2:00pm Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pmOur public sector client is seeking reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their Community Works team in Wick and Thurso on a temporary basis with an immediate start available. This is a hands-on role involving refuse and recycling collections, working as part of an operational team delivering an essential community service. Key Responsibilities Safely operate refuse and recycling collection vehicles (Class 2) on designated routes Transport and dispose of waste at authorised facilities Provide support and guidance to the crew working from your vehicle Assist with loading refuse and recycling vehicles when required Deliver and collect waste, recycling, and litter bins Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism Ensure compliance with all Scottish DVSA regulations and road transport legislation Take responsibility for vehicle-related health and safety, including passengers and crew Carry out additional duties as directed by the ForepersonWhat We’re Looking For Valid LGV Class 2 licence (clean licence preferred) Current CPC qualification and Digital Tacho Card Strong understanding of legal responsibilities relating to LGV driving Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use initiative when required Awareness of health and safety within operational or high-risk environments Reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious approach to workWhy Apply?
