We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable individuals to join a welcoming primary school in Upminster as a Teaching Assistant from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in education.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities may include:
Early Years (EYFS)
Supporting children through play-based learning activities.
Assisting with phonics, early reading, writing, and number development.
Encouraging social, emotional, and communication skills.Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2
Supporting pupils in lessons across English, Maths, and the wider curriculum.
Working with small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs.
Building positive relationships to support engagement and progress.

Requirements
Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
