Arboriculture Lecturer 📍 Location: London 💰 Hourly Rate: £30 - £48 🕐 Contract: Full-time / Temp or Temp-Perm 📅 Start Date: August / September 2026 Are you an experienced Arborist or Tree Specialist ready to pass your knowledge on to the next generation? We are recruiting for an Arboriculture Lecturer to join an established Further Education college, delivering industry-focused training to learners looking to build careers within arboriculture and the wider land-based sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced arborist, tree surgeon or forestry professional who wants to make the move into teaching. The Role You will deliver a combination of practical and theory-based Arboriculture training, helping learners develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required to progress into the industry. Your responsibilities will include: * Delivering practical and classroom-based Arboriculture sessions. * Teaching industry-relevant arboriculture principles, practices and techniques. * Supporting learners during practical activities and assessments. * Planning engaging lessons and practical sessions. * Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback. * Monitoring learner progress, achievement and attendance. * Maintaining excellent health & safety standards across practical training environments. * Supporting learners with their progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study. * Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and develop the Arboriculture curriculum. About You We are looking for candidates with genuine professional arboriculture experience and a strong understanding of the industry. You may currently be working as a: * Arboriculture Lecturer * Arboriculture Tutor * Arborist * Tree Surgeon * Senior Arborist * Climbing Arborist * Arboricultural Consultant * Tree Officer * Forestry / Arboriculture Trainer * Arboriculture Supervisor * Forestry Professional Candidates should ideally hold a Level 3 or higher Arboriculture qualification, together with relevant practical industry experience. Relevant NPTC/C&G tickets, climbing qualifications, chainsaw qualifications or other recognised arboricultural certifications would be highly advantageous. Teaching, assessing or IQA qualifications are desirable, but not essential for the right industry candidate, with support available to work towards teaching qualifications
