Full-Stack Trading Engineer - (Execution Technology) - Selby Jennings

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and enhancing front-end trading and workflow applications using React, TypeScript and Java.
• Developing and maintaining backend services supporting order routing, execution workflows and trading infrastructure.
• Partnering closely with quantitative research, execution and trading teams to deliver new functionality and platform enhancements.
• Helping scale a global execution platform across multiple regions and asset classes.
• Integrating the platform with external counterparties, brokers and internal systems.
• Leveraging modern AI development tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development, testing and code quality.
• Contributing to a highly collaborative engineering culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• 4-6 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full stack development skills.
• Commercial experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Experience building backend services in Java.
• Experience with electronic trading, execution systems, market making, broker algorithms or financial technology.
• Exposure to AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar.
• Curiosity, strong problem-solving ability and a genuine passion for technology.
