You’ll play a key role in shaping and assuring complex, integrated solutions for major defence sector customers, helping organisations modernise and transform through innovative technology strategies.You’ll be joining a dynamic, collaborative, and rapidly expanding Consultancy Practice, working alongside some of the most talented architects, consultants, and technical specialists in the industry.This is a highly visible role where you’ll engage directly with senior customer stakeholders, partners, and internal leadership teams to shape strategic technology outcomes. You’ll gain exposure to leading-edge technologies, complex enterprise environments, and some of the most high-profile transformation programmes within the defence sector.What you’ll doAct as the Technical Authority for complex, enterprise-scale and mission-critical transformation programmes within the Defence industryLead technical strategy and architecture discussions with customers, understanding both business and technical driversShape and assure integrated solutions across multiple technology domains including Workplace, Security, Networking, Cloud, Datacentre, and ApplicationsProduce and validate high-level architecture and solution design documentationSupport pre-sales engagements, large-scale opportunities, and strategic customer programmesEngage with C-level executives and senior IT leadership teams, aligning solutions to broader business objectivesCollaborate with vendors, partners, and internal SMEs to develop innovative and market-leading solutionsLead or contribute to large-scale technology transformation programmes across complex enterprise environmentsAct as a Design Authority for key customer accounts, ensuring governance, quality, and compliance standards are maintainedSupport the development of new propositions and services alongside Strategy and Portfolio teamsMaintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving customer requirementsWhat you’ll needSignificant experience in an Enterprise or Solution Architecture role within large-scale IT environmentsProven experience leading technical teams through both pre-sales and delivery phases of complex transformation programmesStrong expertise designing integrated enterprise solutions across: NetworkingSecurityDatacentre & Hybrid CloudCloud & ApplicationsWorkplace technologiesExperience working within the defence sector, with understanding of security requirements, governance, and stakeholder engagementStrong experience engaging with C-level executives, senior IT leadership, and enterprise customersDemonstrated success leading or contributing to major transformation initiatives from strategy through executionStrong understanding of technical governance, assurance, and architectural best practicesExperience managing the full customer engagement lifecycle from early qualification through to successful deliveryCommercial awareness and understanding of how solution design impacts operational and contractual service deliveryExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across both technical and business audiencesIf you’re looking for a role where you can combine enterprise architecture, strategic influence, and large-scale transformation expertise, we’d love to hear from you.About usComputacenter is a leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, with about 21,000 employees worldwide.
