HGV Class 1 Driver- Nights

THE ROLE Driver Hire Oxford is recruiting an experienced Class 1 (HGV) Driver on behalf of our client. Working with a distribution company where no day is the same! This is a great opportunity for a reliable, safety-conscious driver to join a busy distribution operation, delivering a consistently high standard of service to customers across the region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Safely operate a Class 1 HGV to deliver goods to customer sites on time and in full * Carry out daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects promptly * Complete all delivery paperwork accurately, including PODs and vehicle records * Load and unload goods safely, using manual handling equipment where required * Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff, and the transport office * Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition throughout each shift WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence * Current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card * No more than 6 penalty points (no DR/DD/IN convictions) * Minimum 12 months' recent Class 1 driving experience * Good working knowledge of drivers' hours and Working Time Directive regulations * Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work * Flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including early starts and weekends WHAT'S ON OFFER * Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly * Immediate start for the right candidate * Opportunity for temp-to-perm placement for the right candidate Consistent, regular work with a well-established local distribution
