Our extensive product range includes bricks, cladding, blocks, timber and sheet materials, flooring, landscaping products, and a wide selection of builders materials and supplies.About the RoleAs an Apprentice Counter Sales Assistant, you will learn how to support trade and retail customers, process orders, provide product information and help ensure the sales counter runs smoothly.

You do not need previous builders merchant experience; we are looking for the right attitude, a positive approach and a willingness to learn.Key ResponsibilitiesServe customers at the sales counter in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.Answer customer queries face to face and over the phone.Learn about building materials, products and services so you can provide accurate advice.Process customer orders, payments and quotations accurately.Check stock availability and help customers find suitable products or alternatives.Support the branch team with general sales counter duties and administration.Assist with unpacking deliveries and putting stock away safely and accurately.Help keep the shop, sales counter and customer areas clean, tidy and well presented.Maintain good customer records and follow company procedures.Work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service.What We Are Looking ForA positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning.Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.A helpful, reliable and professional approach.Good timekeeping and willingness to work as part of a team.Basic numeracy and literacy skills.An interest in customer service, sales or the building supplies industry.No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.What You Will GainHands-on experience in a busy builders merchant environment.Training and support from experienced colleagues.The opportunity to work towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.Product knowledge across a wide range of building materials and supplies. xwzovoh Customer service, sales and administration skills that can support long-term career progression.
