Kitchen Assistant

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant Hours: Minimum 25 hours per week Working Days: Thursday to Monday (flexibility required) Job Summary: Orchard Professional Solutions are working with a local cafe who are looking for a kitchen assistant to join their team. The role is varied and you will be required to adapt to business needs when required. As a kitchen assistant, you will assist with the preparation of fresh products / service and work alongside the head chef. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with the preparation of ingredients and basic cooking tasks as directed by the head chef * Support the service period, preparing meals as required * Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times * Perform daily and deep cleaning of work areas, equipment, and utensils * Follow food safety procedures and adhere to health and safety policies * Work flexibly, adapting to changing shift patterns as required by business needs Requirements: * Previous experience in a kitchen environment required * Good understanding of food hygiene standards * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure during busy periods * Flexible with work hours; current days required Thursday - Monday * Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn Benefits: * Minimum 25 hours per week with the opportunity for additional hours * Be part of a friendly and supportive team
