About the role

Education Support Officer

Are you passionate about supporting students and making a difference in education? We are looking for enthusiastic Education Support Officers to fill multiple positions across various shifts, offering flexible opportunities to help learners thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Provide educational, emotional, social and personal support to students with Additional Learning Needs
  • Participate in and support the provision of learning programmes as directed by the lecturers
  • Assist in the manual handling of students with personal care requirements in accordance with the individual care plan

Qualifications

  • GCSE passes in Maths and English (grades A–C) or equivalent are desirable
  • Basic IT skills – operate a computer, familiar with Microsoft Word and the Internet
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of students with learning difficulties
  • Able to work with people with learning difficulties, including assisting with personal care

Location & Working Hours

Tycoch Campus, Swansea. Part‑time (18 hours per week), fixed term until 31 August 2027. Term‑time (36 weeks per year). Salary: £13.52 per hour (£10,138 per annum).
