Setting Out Engineer

Location: Central ScotlandEmployment: PermanentAn established and highly respected civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Setting Out Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Scotland.This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer with a strong setting out background who wants to join a contractor with a healthy pipeline of work across infrastructure, earthworks, roads, drainage, structures and energy-related projects.The RoleWorking as part of the site delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring works are accurately set out and delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.Key responsibilities will include:Setting out and surveying works across civil engineering projectsEstablishing and maintaining site controlUsing GPS, total stations and other surveying equipmentInterpreting engineering drawings and specificationsProducing and maintaining accurate site recordsCarrying out quality checks and ensuring works meet required standardsSupporting Site Agents and Project Managers with technical queriesLiaising with subcontractors and site teamsAssisting with QA documentation, as-built information and progress recordsEnsuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with project requirementsWhat We're Looking ForIdeally, you will have:HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related disciplinePrevious setting out experience within civil engineeringExperience across areas such as earthworks, drainage, roads, concrete, utilities or infrastructureCompetence using GPS and total station equipmentStrong understanding of construction drawings and specificationsGood communication and problem-solving skillsFull UK driving licenceApplications are welcomed from both experienced Setting Out Engineers and Engineers earlier in their career who have gained practical site experience and are looking to continue their development.What's on Offer?You'll be joining a well-established contractor with a strong reputation in the Scottish civil engineering market and a significant pipeline of secured work.The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, long-term career prospects and the opportunity to work on substantial infrastructure projects across Scotland.Interested? xwzovoh Apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion to find out more.
