A well-established business based in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Junior Financial Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their financial accounting skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of accounting responsibilities, supporting month-end processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with month-end accounting processes
Supporting the preparation of accounts to trial balance
Completing VAT returns
Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial records
Assisting with financial reporting and wider finance team activities
About You:
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
Comfortable preparing accounts to trial balance level
Experience with journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
Exposure to VAT returns and month-end processes
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
AAT qualified, studying ACCA/CIMA, or qualified by experience candidates are all welcome xwzovoh to apply
