Refrigeration Systems Design Engineer £65,000-£75,000 + Private Medical + Pension, 26 days holiday A leading specialist within industrial refrigeration solutions is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Systems Design Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale projects across the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Design Engineer to work across high-value refrigeration projects exceeding £1M across food, bev, process and pharma based projects, delivering bespoke and energy efficient solutions for complex industrial applications. The role offers a high level of autonomy, remote working flexibility, and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within a growing and highly respected business. The Role * Full design and technical engineering of industrial refrigeration systems for large-scale projects * Producing detailed refrigeration calculations, equipment selections, and system specifications * Designing efficient and compliant refrigeration solutions tailored to client requirements * Working closely with project managers, clients, and internal engineering teams throughout project lifecycle * Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements * Supporting the development of sustainable and energy-efficient system solutions * Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to source suitable equipment and components * Assisting with technical documentation, design reviews, and project support activities Background Required * Proven experience in refrigeration system design within industrial refrigeration environments * Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics, and system calculations * Experience working within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or process cooling sectors * Ability to design complex refrigeration systems for large-scale/high-value projects * Proficiency with refrigeration design software and engineering calculations * Good understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams Package * £65,000–£75,000 basic salary * 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Private medical cover * Company pension scheme * Remote working flexibility * Ongoing professional development * Opportunity to work on major industrial refrigeration projects across critical sectors
