You’ll work on a diverse range of mechanical and mechatronic systems, using tools such as 3D CAD, FEA, and design quality methodologies like Failure Tree Analysis. Other responsibilities include: * Lead and deliver design projects within agreed timelines * Develop design concepts and ensure they meet quality, cost, and delivery targets * Create layout models and detailed drawings, including BOMs and documentation for sales and service * Define and coordinate testing requirements, analyse results, and implement necessary design changes * Manage outsourced design activities * Resolve technical issues using structured problem-solving tools * Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers across global sites About You – Mechanical Design Engineer We’re looking for a proactive and creative engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex design challenges. Other requirements include: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) * At least 5 years of experience in a mechanical design role * Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software * Experience with hydraulic systems is highly advantageous * Familiarity with the full development cycle, from concept to testing
