NOW RECRUITING - COLLEGE STAFF MEMBER - EHCP Coordinator
We are currently looking for an EHCP Coordinator to join our team and work across St Vincent and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton.
Location: St Vincent & Richard Taunton Sixth Form College
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: Term-time only - 39 weeks per year
Start: ASAP
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS including Child Barring issued within the last 3 months OR be registered on the DBS Update Service
2 satisfactory references
Previous experience working in an education/college environment would be desirable
A professional, reliable and positive approach
Manage the EHCP process for a caseload of students internally to the Trust to ensure that all aspects of this process are completed to deadlines, statutory guidance requirements and are of an excellent standard.
Manage a caseload of students who have High Needs to ensure that all students Annual Review meetings are held in a timely manner and to an excellent standard.
Ensure high quality approaches to the EHCP processes and associated documents and work closely with all members of staff who are involved in the Annual Review Process.
Ensure invites and meeting requests are sent to people required to attend an annual review in a timely manner, following agreed policy and process.
Ensure the voice of all parties required to contribute to an annual review are collected prior to the annual review in a format that is suitable to the needs of the individual, following agreed policy and process.
Support staff in understanding the annual review process and their role in providing feedback and support.
Manage annual reviews, gathering feedback, co-ordinating and completing draft documents for circulating within a legal framework.
Chair annual review meetings, completing documents post-annual review and co-ordinating returns to meet legal timeframes.
Provide cover for other EHCP Coordinators in chairing annual reviews when they are absent.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work within a college environment on a term-time-only basis.
