Job OverviewIQVIA is hiring an Alliance manager to expand our dedicated Real World Evidence (RWE) FSP team, working fully within the environment of a prominent pharma company. In this role, the Alliance Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery of real-world observational studies within the oncology therapeutic area. It is important for this individual to have experience working in observational research across primary and secondary data collection study designs as well as leading clinical studies independently.Who do you work with?Epidemiologists, data science, and clinical leads to deliver project specific goals and timelinesVendors to communicate status of deliverables and workflowProgram and business leads to manage full portfolio of projectsWhat are you great at?Independently executing observational and real-world studies while balancing speed, quality, and costLeading cross-functional teams to achieve milestones and resolve study issuesProactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation plansCommunicating clearly with stakeholders, including preparing and presenting project updates to leadershipGood understanding of project financials including experience managing, contractual obligations and implicationsDriving operational excellence and strategic partnership with clientsManaging vendors effectively across different sourcing models (in-house, hybrid, outsourced)Bringing clarity to complex or ambiguous situations and making informed decisionsResults-oriented approach to work towards delivery and outputStrong organizational, prioritization, and time management skillsAbility to operate effectively in a matrixed, fast-paced, and evolving environmentYour responsibilities may include:Leading global, cross-functional observational study teams and owning delivery of contracted scope, timelines, and qualityDeveloping study documentation, including project management plansEnsuring consistent use of study tools, training materials, and compliance with SOPs, policies, and proceduresMonitoring study progress and financial performance; supporting forecasting and change control as neededLead project vendor management related activities and communications per project requirementsAnticipating operational and quality risks, responding to issues raised by the project team and planning/implementing appropriate corrective or preventative actionsGenerating project- or program-level metrics and reports for senior managementCapturing lessons learned and contributing to continuous improvement and best practicesRequired knowledge, skills, and abilities Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field Minimum 4-6 years of experience in project management and/or clinical operations within pharma, CRO, or RWE environment (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)Demonstrated experience leading observational or real-world evidence studiesStrong understanding of RWE study designs and clinical research conduct and skill in applying applicable clinical research regulatory requirementsExperience with primary and secondary data study designs Therapeutic area expertise desired (oncology)IMPORTANT NOTE: This role is not eligible for UK visa sponsorshipIQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
