The Role We are seeking an experienced MEP / Building Services Director to take on a senior, strategic role within the business.
This position sits firmly within our Building Services (MEP) team but works closely with our civil and architectural disciplines as part of a fully integrated design offering.This is a key leadership role, combining: Client growth (both existing and new) Delivery of large, high-value projects Team leadership and development Financial and budget management You will play a central role in shaping the growth of the Building Services function while contributing to the wider success of the business.
Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of complex, high-value Building Services (MEP) projects from concept through to completion Grow and develop existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities Act as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor to clients Lead, manage, and mentor the Building Services team Collaborate with civil engineering and architectural teams on multidisciplinary projects Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability Drive quality, innovation, and technical excellence across all MEP outputs About You Proven experience in a senior Building Services / MEP leadership role Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or public health design within a consultancy environment Demonstrable success in both project delivery and business development Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and financial performance Strong leadership and team management capability Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) preferred What We Offer We are a highly flexible, people-focused organisation, offering: Hybrid working Flexible start and finish times to support work-life balance A strong, genuine focus on wellbeing A supportive and collaborative culture Opportunity to shape and grow a key discipline within the business Competitive salary of £80,000
