Role Title: Payment Product Business Analyst

Location: Northampton

Duration: 30/06/2027

Days on site: 2-3

Sector: Banking

Pay Rate: £358 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Role Description:

• Seeking an experienced **Payment Product BA** to drive the analysis, design, and delivery of payment solutions within an Agile/SAFe environment.
• The role will bridge business and technology teams, ensuring payment products meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Translate requirements into Epics, Features, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to define and deliver payment capabilities.
• Support end-to-end payment processes including payment workflows, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, UAT, release planning, and solution demonstrations.
• Ensure compliance with payment regulations, risk, and governance standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and product enhancements.

**Required Skills**

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Technical BA within Payments or Banking.
• Strong knowledge of payment platforms and payment lifecycles.
• Experience with Faster Payments, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022, Open Banking, or similar payment schemes.
• Strong requirements gathering, process modelling, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe environments.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
