CAD Technician / Revit Technician

Mechanical & Electrical BIM Technician Location: Belfast, Warrenpoint or Dublin (office-based with occasional site visits) Reed Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical BIM Technician on behalf of a growing construction and engineering business. This is an excellent opportunity for a BIM professional with Revit MEP experience to join a collaborative team delivering a variety of commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects. Produce and maintain mechanical and electrical BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP. Develop detailed 2D drawings, layouts, sections, schedules and installation drawings from BIM models. Model mechanical and electrical services including ductwork, pipework, containment systems and specialist equipment. Coordinate M&E services with architectural, structural and other building services disciplines. Carry out clash detection and support the resolution of coordination issues using Revit and Navisworks. Review engineering drawings, project specifications and site information, incorporating updates into BIM models. Produce construction and installation drawings to agreed project standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date BIM information throughout the project lifecycle. Work in line with BIM Execution Plans, modelling standards and project information requirements. Liaise with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical queries. Attend site visits and project meetings as required. Deliver work to project deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail. Minimum 2 years' experience in a BIM, Revit MEP, CAD or M&E Building Services role. Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP. Experience producing mechanical and electrical BIM models and technical drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD. Understanding of mechanical and electrical building services and their coordination within construction projects. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. Experience using Navisworks and clash detection software. Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360. Understanding of BIM Execution Plans and BIM project delivery processes. Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM standards across the UK and Ireland. Experience on commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare or data-centre projects. Experience producing installation and construction-stage models and drawings. HNC/HND, BTEC, Level 3, 4 or 5 qualification. Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, BIM, Construction or a related discipline.
