About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced ESOL / EAL tutor to provide 1:1 online tuition to support a young person who has recently arrived in the UK and does not currently speak English.
The learner will require structured, supportive tuition to rapidly develop spoken and written English, build confidence in everyday conversational language, and prepare for progression onto ESOL college courses at the end of the current academic year.
Key Requirements:
- Delivery of 2 hours per week of online 1:1 tuition
- Experience teaching beginner‑level ESOL / EAL
- Ability to support rapid progress in:
Expected Outcomes:
As a result of accessing the provision, the young person will be supported to:
- Attend regular ESOL tuition sessions
- Demonstrate increased confidence in basic spoken English
- Show progress in early writing and letter formation
Pay Rate:
£25- £30 per hour (dependent on experience)
This role would suit a tutor who is nurturing, adaptable, and experienced in supporting learners new to the UK at an early stage of English acquisition
