M&E Site Manager (Mechanical Bias) – Commercial Fit-Out
Location: Manchester
Rate: £300 per day
Contract: Freelance / Contract
Start Date: Immediate
We are recruiting for an experienced M&E Site Manager (Mechanical Bias) to join a leading contractor delivering a high-quality commercial fit-out project in Manchester.
This role is ideal for a mechanically focused Site Manager with experience overseeing M&E installations within fast-paced commercial environments. You will be responsible for managing all mechanical works on site while coordinating closely with the electrical team, main contractor, and client to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise all mechanical packages throughout the fit-out programme.
Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Liaise daily with the Project Manager, client, consultants, and other trades.
Monitor programme progress and drive productivity on site.
Carry out quality inspections and manage snagging throughout the project.
Ensure all works comply with current health and safety legislation.
Review and manage RAMS, permits to work, and site documentation.
Assist with commissioning, testing, and project handover.Requirements
Previous experience managing M&E works on commercial fit-out projects.
Strong mechanical background, including HVAC, ventilation, pipework, and plumbing services.
SMSTS.
Valid CSCS Card.
First Aid at Work (preferred).
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme deadlines.What's on Offer
