CDS Labour is currently working alongside one of the largest Accountancy practices in Newport and are currently looking for a hard working detailed focused Payroll Officer to join our clients busy and supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll services. As Payroll Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and company procedures. What’s in it for you: • Competitive salary and Benefits package • Free Parking • Supportive and professional working environment • Career development and progression opportunities The Role: • Process payroll accurately using systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, HRIS, or PeopleSoft • Enter and maintain employee hours, deductions, benefits, and payroll records • Manage payroll payments, adjustments, and statutory deductions • Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies • Produce payroll reports for management, finance teams, and audits • Ensure compliance with HMRC, tax, pension, and employment legislation • Support payroll-related administration and collaborate with HR and Finance teams • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information What we need from you: • Previous experience in a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or similar finance role • Experience using payroll software such as Workday, QuickBooks, HRIS, PeopleSoft, or similar systems • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy • Strong organisational and time-management skills • The ability to manage confidential information professionally • Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with employees and management • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment Apply today by send in us a copy of your most up to date CV
