This is a role where you'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle, working closely with manufacturing, production and wider engineering teams to ensure designs are robust, cost-effective and ready for real-world deployment. What You'll Be Doing As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing new products and improving existing designs, balancing performance, quality and manufacturability. Your responsibilities will include: * Creating detailed 3D designs, assemblies and manufacturing drawings * Designing components and products with a strong focus on Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) * Supporting products from initial concept through to production release * Working closely with manufacturing and production teams to optimise designs and improve efficiency * Participating in design reviews, prototyping, testing and product validation activities * Identifying opportunities to improve product performance, reliability and cost * Producing and maintaining engineering documentation and technical reports * Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions The Kind of Mechanical Design Engineer Who Will Thrive Here You're someone who enjoys turning ideas into physical products.
