Sound Engineer

Reference: JOB-8566Christy Media Solutions is recruiting a Live Sound Engineer on behalf of our client for a varied position combining live sound operations at UK horseracing events with hands-on audio installation, maintenance and repair work.This is a practical role for someone equally comfortable behind a mixing desk and working directly with professional audio equipment.Responsibilities:Mixing sound at live sporting eventsRack building and speaker installationCable pulling and terminationServicing and repairing hire equipmentOn-site maintenance and repair of installed sound systemsWorking with race officials and other on-site personnelLearning the main rules of horseracing to interact effectively with customersPotentially progressing into sound system design, commissioning and installation project managementWhat we're looking for:Experience wiring and terminating pro audio or AV installationsExperience fitting and installing professional audio or AV equipmentStrong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skillsFull UK driving licenceLive sound mixing experience, particularly in sporting venues, is highly desirableKnowledge of 100V line speaker systems, Q-SYS, Soundweb, Yamaha digital mixers or two-way radios would be beneficialThe role involves frequent mainland UK travel, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
