Packhouse Operative £13.45ph - Temp to Perm - Outskirts of Colchester, Essex All applicants must have their own transport due to the location. We are currently recruiting for a Packhouse Operative to join a busy and growing food production company based on the outskirts of Colchester. This is a hands-on role working within a fast-paced packhouse environment, helping with the packing, grading, and preparation of products ready for dispatch. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term work and the chance to join a well-established business with a supportive team environment. Previous production, warehouse, or food manufacturing experience would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for reliable candidates with a good attitude towards work. Duties of the Packhouse Operative will include: Working on a fast-paced packing line Grading and checking products for quality Packing finished products ready for dispatch Palletising stock and preparing orders Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness Following food safety and production procedures Assisting with general production and packhouse duties where required The ideal Packhouse Operative candidate: Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or food production experience is advantageous Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Good attention to detail Reliable and punctual Able to work well as part of a team Own transport is essential due to the rural location Flexible to work weekends and overtime when required Shift Pattern & Pay: 4 on / 4 off day shifts 7:00am - 6:00pm £13.45 per hour Overtime available at enhanced rates Free on-site parking Temp to perm opportunity This role is available immediately for the right candidate.
