Senior/Associate- Lease Cosultancy Surveyor

A leading UK commercial property consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior or Associate level Lease Consultancy Surveyor to join its expanding team in Glasgow.This is a key hire within a growing advisory function, offering the opportunity to take ownership of high-quality lease consultancy instructions and play a central role in developing the firm’s presence in the Scottish market.The RoleYou will provide expert advice to both landlords and occupiers across a range of commercial assets, including office, retail, and industrial property. The focus will be on rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gears, and wider lease restructuring work.You will lead negotiations, manage client relationships, and contribute to dispute resolution processes where required, including arbitration and expert determination. The role also offers the opportunity to support business development and help shape the future growth of the Glasgow team.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging rent reviews and lease renewals from instruction through to settlementAdvising on and negotiating lease re-gears and restructuring strategiesPreparing market evidence and valuation-based negotiation argumentsActing for both landlords and occupiers on complex lease advisory mattersSupporting dispute resolution processes where necessaryBuilding and maintaining strong client relationshipsContributing to business development and team growthSupporting and mentoring junior surveyors (Senior/Associate level dependent)Candidate RequirementsStrong background in commercial lease consultancy or valuation advisoryProven experience in rent reviews and lease renewalsSolid understanding of UK commercial property markets and lease structuresExperience acting for landlords, occupiers, or within a consultancy environmentMRICS qualified (or equivalent experience for Associate consideration)Skills & AttributesStrong negotiation and communication skillsCommercially minded with excellent analytical abilityConfident managing complex lease documentation and instructionsAbility to work independently and manage multiple deadlinesClient-facing with a proactive, professional approachWhat’s on OfferJoin a well-established and growing national property consultancyStrong pipeline of lease advisory instructions across ScotlandClear progression pathway towards Associate Director levelSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to play a key role in developing the Glasgow lease consultancy offeringLocation:Glasgow Type:permanentSUBMIT CV
