General Practice Accounts Supervisor – Dunfermline
Our client, a well-established accountancy practice, is seeking a General Practice Accounts Supervisor to join their Dunfermline office. This role offers the opportunity to manage a small portfolio of SME clients while contributing to a proactive, client-focused service. It is ideal for a motivated accountant looking to further develop supervisory and technical skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a small portfolio of SME businesses
- Maintaining regular client contact to deliver a proactive and client-centred service
- Training and supervising students within the team
- Reviewing colleagues’ and students’ work, providing constructive feedback and development pointers
- Preparing Limited Company, LLP, Partnership, and Sole Trader accounts
- Preparing management accounts
- Drafting Personal and Corporation Tax computations
- Assisting departmental assistant managers with ad hoc client tasks
- Keeping up to date with accounting standards and personal/corporation tax legislation
- Communicating effectively with clients and HMRC
Requirements
- 1–2 years post-qualification (ACCA, ICAS, ICEAW) with experience in practice
- Enjoys working directly with clients across a range of sectors
- Competent in preparing Sole Trader, FRS102, and FRS102 1A Limited Company accounts
- Commitment to delivering first-class service to clients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Ability to manage own workload, work on own initiative, and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent IT skills with a proven ability to retain technical knowledge
- Strong oral and written communication skills
