Head of External Relations

My client in Greater London are looking to appoint a talented Head of External Relations on a Contract basis. This is a high-profile position providing strategic advice and support to the Executive Mayor and senior leadership across public policy, external relations, stakeholder engagement, communications and media. What's on offer: Salary: £500 per day (inside IR35) *negotiable based on experience *please submit your CV with the rate you require Hybrid working Contract type: contract Monday - Friday About the role: Based in Greater London (Hybrid): Provide strategic advice to the Executive Mayor and Mayor's Office on public policy, external relations, stakeholder engagement and communications Provide informed advice on emerging issues, political developments, reputational risks and opportunities Support the Mayor and senior leadership team in delivering key priorities, projects and initiatives Provide proactive and responsive media advice to the Mayor and senior officers in a fast-moving political environment About you: You will have the following experiences: Extensive experience in a similar role Significant senior-level experience in external relations, public affairs, strategic communications, government relations or stakeholder engagement Demonstrable experience advising senior leaders, elected officials, political stakeholders Local Authority experience is essential How to apply Once your CV is received, if you are successful you will be contacted.
